It needed to speak to the individual expression and varied creative backgrounds of the many artists but also feel cohesive and coherent for their yearly holiday marketplace. The Solve — What started as individual treatments for the first three years of Hera Holiday Marketplace eventually expanded to a complete brand overhaul in 2020. We kept the logo classic &amp; minimal, allowing flexibility in adding highly expressive typography throughout future social, email &amp; newsletter campaigns. The Solve — Working closely with Erin to discuss aesthetics, functionality, and possibilities, an entirely new visual identity was created that perfectly encapsulated both the whimsical style of Diane’s brand, but also her innate storytelling abilities. The identity needed to be minimal but incorporate her floral silhouette paintings without feeling too feminine or "crunchy." Individual visual systems were needed to differentiate each property, and in turn could influence digital marketing campaigns that celebrated each property while driving sales and increasing engagement. The Solve — We explored influences of 19th &amp; 20th century art &amp; architecture, drawing influences from Geo Ponti to Alexander Girard. The results were a variety of fun social media &amp; e-marketing campaigns unifying playful movement, expressive typography &amp; playful use of color. She needed a place to direct new clients that would educate and excite them while also demonstrating her offerings. We delved into her client base and target market, making sure to include elements of her vivacious and easygoing personality into her brand identity. The Solve — As her client base was largely in Orange County, California, we centered the visuals around citrus and doubled down with a lemon which played into the "make lemonade" upbeat attitude of her practice, but also spoke to the Mediterranean diet that she often referenced in her work. complicated business cards with four different fronts &amp; backs, each version with unique Pantone colors, and required a colored core. A complex and highly specialized print job that required many considerations for production from silkscreen to letterpress, foil stamping and lithographic printing. The Solve — Due to the exacting design and minimum order requirements, many print avenues were explored. It was a multi-layered solution to print digitally on a textured, uncoated stock and finish with custom painted sides.
